Breve biografía


Fernando Scafati began his concert career after prizes gained in several piano competitions. He has given concerts in many Italian and European cities as soloist as well as chamber musician. He has been piano teacher at Conservatories in Bari and in Vicenza; currently he is Professor of Piano at Conservatorio “Frescobaldi” in Ferrara, where he is also Director of the Conservatory. He has given several masterclasses in Erasmus + Programme, at Conservatoires in Granada and Jaèn.

Born in Florence, Fernando earned his Diploma in Piano at Conservatorio “Martini” in Bologna. He has been pupil of Maria Tipo in Fiesole and attended masterclasses at Mozarteum in Salzburg and at Académie de Musique in Sion, Switzerland. He also practised Jaques-Dalcroze Piano improvisation with Christiane Montandon in Geneva and harpsicord and continuo with Barbara Sachs in Florence. He earned a Degree in History of Music at University of Forence.
